New #WearableTech Prosthetics Co Uses 3D Printing

In this week’s episode of Wearable On Air, Ranjit Steiner of LIM Innovations talks about a new wearable prosthetic company in San Francisco.

Prosthetics have been around since the beginning of time. According to InMotion, an online blog, the first prosthetic was developed in 300 BC in Italy. It was made out of bronze and Iron with a wooden core. Although prosthetics have radically changed since 300 BC to lighter weight materials, it wasn’t until now that the field has become disrupted with the introduction of the infinite socket, LIM’s modular and customized socket with uses wearable technology and 3D printing.
